Serena Skala is an experienced litigation and legal advisor who brings clients the advantage of having served as a litigator and as in-house counsel. Her almost 20-year practice includes professional liability defense, insurance coverage, restrictive covenant litigation, construction defect claims and complex commercial trial experience representing insurance brokers, contractors and attorneys.
Serena joins our team from The Baldwin Group, a national insurance broker, where she served as Head of Litigation overseeing Baldwin’s nation-wide litigation docket and providing advice and counsel to its employees. Drawing from this experience, Serena approaches litigation not only as litigator, but as a business leader, allowing her to provide legal advice that supports her clients’ operational needs and advances their business objectives. This role also allowed Serena to gain insurance industry knowledge, with an in-depth understanding of the structure and functionality of property & casualty, employment practices liability and individual health and senior-market products.
