The following Partners have been elevated to Equity Partners:

Derek C. Anderson is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Boulder, CO office.  His practice focuses on the areas of securities litigation and regulation, complex commercial and business litigation, and professional liability litigation.  Derek has been a practicing trial attorney for over 25 years and has handled dozens of cases to verdict before FINRA Dispute Resolution, state courts and federal courts across the United States.  Derek is rated AV® Preeminent™ by Martindale-Hubbell®.

Benjamin J. Biard is the Managing Partner of the firm’s Miami, FL office.  His practice focuses on securities litigation, securities regulation, commercial litigation and professional liability litigation.  Ben was previously in-house trial counsel at Merrill Lynch.  Since going into private practice, Ben has defended the securities industry and professionals in matters before FINRA Dispute Resolution, AAA, JAMS, state courts and federal courts across the United States.  Ben also defends registered representatives and broker-dealers before federal and state regulators. Further, Ben frequently speaks at industry events on issued related to the securities industry.  Ben is also on the Board of the Florida Securities Division Association and the Crockett Foundation.

Harris B. Katz is resident in the firm’s New York City office.  His practice focuses primarily on professional liability defense, including the defense of attorneys, architects, engineers, real estate agents, insurance agents and brokers. Harris also defends employment discrimination claims and large exposure general liability matters.  Harris actively litigates complex matters before state and federal courts in New York and New Jersey.  Harris has been selected to New York Metro Super Lawyers.

The following attorneys have been elevated to Partners:

Brittany P. Borck is resident in the firm’s Miami, FL office. Her practice focuses on complex commercial and general civil litigation matters before state and federal courts. Her representations frequently involve both individuals and corporations in actions involving claims of securities fraud, fiduciary duty, and deceptive/unfair trade practice claims.  Brittany recently handled a legal malpractice claim on an appeal to the Florida Supreme Court, which created new law in Florida regarding an insurance carrier’s ability to bring a legal malpractice claim against defense counsel retained to represent an insured.   Brittany has been selected to the Top Up & Comers by South Florida Legal Guide and by the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation as one of the top 40 Under 40 Outstanding Lawyers of South Florida.

Zachary S. Knoblock is resident in the firm’s Miami, FL office. His practice focuses primarily on securities litigation, securities regulation and commercial litigation. Mr. Knoblock has extensive experience representing broker-dealers, registered investment advisors, registered representatives and insurance agents throughout the United States. Zach has also handled numerous matters through final arbitration for registered representatives seeking to remove prior customer complaints from their CRD record.  Zach has also been selected to Florida Rising Stars by Super Lawyers.
