Karen brings over 25 years of civil litigation experience to Winget, Spadafora and Schwartzberg, LLP. She practices in state and federal courts representing both plaintiffs and defendants and focuses on employment, securities, and unfair competition disputes. Karen graduated from Indiana University in 1989 with a B.A. in English. In 1992, Karen earned her J.D. from Louisiana State University.

Although Karen was born and raised in New Orleans, she began her practice of law in Chicago working for Cook County representing abused and neglected children. In 1999, she moved to Texas where she started her career in civil litigation in the areas of insurance defense and energy law during which time she played a key role in product liability cases, environmental matters, and insurance disputes. No matter the area of law, Karen approaches her litigation practice with the dedication and focus necessary to obtain her clients’ goals.
