Tim Fredricks is the managing partner of Winget, Spadafora & Schwartzberg, LLP's Los Angeles office. Tim's principal practice area is complex civil litigation with an emphasis on employment matters, insurance products, and securities. He has successfully litigated cases to verdict in jury trials, and has first-chair experience defending financial professionals in enforcement actions before various regulatory agencies. Tim has also headed up corporate investigations into various employment issues from alleged discrimination to whistleblower actions.

In addition to his trial experience, Tim has achieved extraordinary results for his clients before a number of appellate courts, including the California Court of Appeal and the Ninth Circuit.

Tim received his J.D. from Loyola Law School in 2005, where he earned Dean's Honors and participated in the Hobbs Trial Advocacy Program. He received his undergraduate degree, cum laude, from U.C. Santa Barbara, where he double-majored in history and art history.

Tim is admitted to practice law in California and United States District Courts for the Central, Eastern and Southern Districts of California, as well as U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California, and U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of California.

  • Successfully defended various corporate clients in employment discrimination actions.
  • Represented staffing agency in multiple non-compete matters with competitors and former employees.
  • Led several corporate investigations concerning claims of sexual harassment and employees seeking whistleblower protections.
  • Obtained summary judgment for outside auditor of City of Chino Hills in $30 million breach of contract and fraud case.
  • Obtained writ of mandate reversing trial court's discovery order based on California's Constitutional right of privacy in a professional liability and fraud matter involving $100 million in life insurance policies.
  • Lead trial counsel defending investment adviser in enforcement action brought by California Department of Corporations.
  • Obtained jury verdict in favor of insurance agent in a dispute with clients.
  • Successfully tried seven-figure product's liability case to verdict before a jury in Los Angeles Superior Court.
